A lifelong fan of comic books and the graphic novel form, I’m delighted to have “The Daemon Street Ghost-Trap” given such a faithful and classy treatment by Skye Ogden.
I’ve always been interested in exploring and re-working the elements of the traditional ghost story, and “The Daemon Street Ghost-Trap” was an early attempt to do just that: with its visit to a strange old house on a chill autumn evening, the uncovering of a terrible family secret, the chance to look at what ghosts might actually be. I’m tremendously excited about Skye’s adaptation.
Meanwhile, I have to say that it was a great deal of fun to do. Terry Dowling’s writings are so rich that they translated quite well to the page in the style I chose.
I was and am very glad for the opportunity to have worked with Terry on this story and hope to collaborate again in the future.
